... so a new road bike for training is in order! A few weeks ago, I went for a ride with Jack and Lou. I rode my nearly 40 year old Italian Bottecchia (on the right) and they were both on modern cycles. My bike rode well but I felt I was at a disadvantage from both a performance and safety perspective.
After I indicated an interest in a "new" (likely used for me) bike, Lou suggested three options. That night I started looking on Craigslist for one of these bikes to see if they were affordable and on the second night I found a virtually new 2006 Specialized Roubaix Comp. I have now ridden this bike three times and I think I am again hooked on cycling. Look at the photo to see how far my bike technology has come.
